Doubts about spiritual preparedness are major roadblocks,
Obscuring entry to the Beloved's courtyard.
Yet sizing up one's smallness leads to an unexpected benefit,
To a certainty about limited self's actual nothingness.
So why plead unreadiness as an excuse,
Avoiding that presence a waking heart can grasp?
Why not recognize and accept that we aren't what we think we are,
And, risking spirit's inner fire, letting it change the world as we know it?
