What's called awakening's presence in these verses can be called many things,
Call it what you will, its actuality is nameless.
Some speak of mindfulness, inner awareness, attention and the like,
Efforts made by seekers of all stripes and colors.
Hopefully these strivings come from a sincere heart/mind,
Priming the pump for 'something' to arrive.
What these efforts reflect then may come to life,
Received as living waters of gifted grace.
