If awakening is our natural state, our due,
Wouldn't we have a clue that's the case?
Or at least suspect all is not as it seems,
That we aren't what we think we are or seem to be.
Or reach a tipping point, a feeling of imminent change approaching,
LIke a visa confirming an upcoming journey.
Better yet, a whiff, a glimmer of something never truly forgotten,
Enlivening us with the breath of something truly ever present.
