A glossary is contrary to the style of these posts (see poetry or punditry) but it may minimize confusion. Consider the descriptions below as starting points.
awakening.....Waking from the dream of illusion. (see 'awakening' category in sidebar)
awakening-self/aspiring self.....See 'transitional self' below.
baggage/bindings.....The dead weight we carry around. Limitations wrapped around us. See 'impressions' below.
Beloved, Beloved One.....Real Self both as source and object of love. Mirrors Self to self. The Thou of I/Thou. The flame that inflames the lover's longing heart. The Eternal Companion, the Real Friend. (see post: what's the difference? pt.1)
collective mind.....The collection/interconnection of our separate minds affecting one another 'for better or for worse.'
conditioned mind/limited mind.....Mind limited by our programming. Mind's hall of mirrors. See 'impressions' below.
Conscious/Awake Self.....For the big picture see this context; also see first point of Meta-View.
detachment.....Has to do with downsizing expectations. (see posts: something about nothing and the bottom line)
dust cloud.....See 'impressions' below.
effacement.....What happens when ego-mind gets reduced by the flame of longing to awaken, by the friction of surrender. (see effacement category in sidebar)
ego-mind/self/ego-self/imaginary self/personality/false self/inner 'I's.....All used synonymously and support who we think we are as a separate self. A construct of parts like characters in a parade that we identify with, each part an inner 'I' or inner voice. Its greatest fear is losing its control, its dominion. (see posts: why "false" self? and who awakens?)
heart.....Our link to spirit. The place we can become more conscious of awakening's 'pull' , the 'knowing' of the heart. Doorway to the 'inner garden' (see below) . That in us that longs to return to its spiritual home base; which reflects real love motioning us to Real Self. (see posts: digital disaster (pt.2), digital wrap up (pt.3), and cooking the books)
heart/mind.....Integration's next step. Heart recognizing awakening's action, inspiring mind. Mind clarifying: removing obstructions that our conditioning creates, acknowledging and inviting heart's knowing. (see posts: heart/mind harmony and full mind/empty mind)
illusion.....The dream we believe to be true. Self-hypnosis by which we mis-take ourselves as awake while asleep in the imaginary vastness of life's dreams. Selves each believing they're separate and not just characters in one dream. Not experiencing that all we see are reflections, manifestations from One Source.
imaginary self.....See 'ego-mind' above.
impressions.....The imprints we gather and spend that define who we are and what we do. The 'stuff' implanted in our psyches that keeps our conditioned mind 'impressed,' that sets its limits, determines its conditions; that 'in-forms' our mind; that all forms sprout from. The veil surrounding and binding us, the haze that keeps us dazed. Bits of inner programming suspended in our minds' currents surrounding us like a maze, a dust cloud, a swarm of distracting insects demanding attention. The ultimate blueprint that makes me separate from you. The digital dots of our metaphysical genetic code. The software behind our thoughts, feelings, and actions. inner garden.....That place in us, when heart and mind are in harmony, where awakening's light is reflected and cultivated. The source of inspiration.

inner programming.....See 'impressions' above.
karma/karmic accounts/karmic law or mechanism.....Debits and credits of our thoughts-words-deeds. Bundles of impressions(see above) we've collected that motivate actions producing more of the same. Bundles that carryover, fuel our journey through lifetimes; our history in a nutshell. The routing machine that carves out our destinies; programming that attempts to balance the plus and minus of experience, the sum of what we think we owe or are owed.
limited mind.....see 'conditioned mind' above.
longing and yearning.....What fuels the spiritual journey and invites awakening. A 'desire' or aspiration coming from beyond ego-mind. (see 'longing/yearning' category in sidebar)
mind.....Our greatest ally when calm (connects with Unlimited Mind); a liability when overheated (becomes ego-mind). (see posts: digital rat race (pt.1) and heart/mind harmony)
personality.....See 'ego-mind' above.
Real Self/Self.....What is when we are not. (see Meta-View)
remembrance.....An awareness (not usual memory or thought) connecting us to Source. (see 'remembrance' category in sidebar)
spirit..... Activity of the drop that becomes the Ocean.
surrender.....Releasing limitations to the pull of awakening. (see 'surrender' category in sidebar)
transitional ego/transitional self/transit ego/awakening self.....Where we start operating from at the outset of feeling awakening's pull. The waking-up-self. The workhorse of spiritual preparation. The platform for clearing the ground of limitations and bindings; for clearing the air of the haze of impressions (see above) that surrounds us. (see posts: koan 4, faces/phases, and who's in charge)
Unconscious/Sleeping Self.....See 'Conscious/Awake Self' above.
veil.....See 'impressions' above.
void (living)....Eye of the needle; mind approaching a stopping point; where nothing is as we know it to be; impassable/impossible gap; vanishing point; active, living silence; behind the mirror of the world; what happens when mind's mirror shatters; inner doorway. (see 'needle's eye/living void' category in sidebar) (avoiding more technical terms like samadhi, fana, etc. and levels thereof)
