Some seekers become discouraged or even depressed after years of spinning their wheels.
That's so, but such states are often needed to clear out one's inner debris, to expose one's lack of integration and sincerity. So many clouds mask the native urge in us all to awaken.
And yet something has to give, something different has to happen.
Eventually a real intention gets activated, one not affected by mind's turmoils. Then there can be effort without expectation, effort as a service, out of love alone, for the Beloved, the Only One.
An intention born of faith.
Sure, faith as indispensable but also open-ended to encourage new possibilities, not closed to change, that encourages further search rather than replacing it. You could also call it a raw attraction to the Real, an attraction that has no name or form.
