Even an open heart can remain in the dark,
When cloaked by ego-mind's many veils.
Why not at least a semipermeable mind,
Letting a few drops of grace fall where they may?
Sounds innocent enough but there's hidden poison there,
Guided by an intelligence highly corrosive to mind' fetters.
Freeing our transitional self from ego-mind's clutches,
Allowing it to take a stand, to take a breath.
