Let's look into the subject of spiritual traps.
Yes, one of our favorite subjects and one rife with as many examples as there are facets to ego-mind's ingenuity.
Is there one that stands out to you?
The delay trap...never feeling spiritual readiness or preparedness. That's the natural result of focusing on ego-mind's reactions instead of being receptive only to higher influence, of holding on to that place within, of taking a stand there.
What do you mean by 'higher influence'?
The radiance of the Beloved, the constant gravitational attraction of the urge to awaken, the permanence of Self interacting with the transitory, with the fleeting existence of who we think we are.
Back to the question of readiness, what you called the 'delay trap.'
Well, ego-mind never feels fully prepared for ventures of any kind because no matter how integrated, it is by nature incomplete. No matter how adept, it can't keep up with the constant flow of changing events, no matter how fast its smartphones are.
OK, then you would say what's needed is to function from a deeper level of being or center of gravity...
Sure, and from there it would be a matter of sensing/feeling that through whatever path to spirit is chosen, the connection to Self is exactly as it should be at this moment, that if this were one's last moment of life no loss or regret would be felt.
That demands a lot.
Whatever it takes. It demands that elusive trait: wholeheartedness and integrity of purpose.
