Sometimes spiritual progress can seem so elusive or even non-existent.
At those times it's usually ego-mind's notions of progress that are in play.
So the solution then is not to keep measuring through ego-mind's vantage point.
Likely so. A really big step would be to see how often that vantage point is actually in charge. If one's heart awakens to a deep inner trust, most clouds of doubt and uncertainty would dissipate.
Trust in what?
Trust as an innate quality; that this dream of life is but a point or bubble within an awakened reality. That such a reality is both our deepest core nature and the destination of our travels through imagination's realms. That an inner guidance system is constanly either pulling or pushing us toward the Beloved's threshold. That the Abiding Self in all is all there really is.
