Balancing the inner and outer life seems a constant struggle.
Balancing still implies separation and can even breed more opposition and conflict.
Can't balance and harmony, even in the realm of the ego-mind's outer world, be useful?
That may be, but ego-mind has a habit of acquisition, of adding-on any experience to itself, reinforcing its own powers. It can pretend spirituality is just another facet of itself.
But that would be a contradiction, a passing state that won't last.
It might last long enough to confuse oneself and others, but then ego-mind itself is a contradiction so long as it's in charge. If it steps aside there's possibility for a merging, and, like a shadow, our outer life may follow our inner life for real harmony and balance.
