It's no surprise Self can't be realized through ego-mind,
Yet isn't it odd that Self keeps buying into ego-mind's games?
But if waking from this dream of life has priority,
Why not fathom heart's depths for awakening's presence?
If the way to the Beloved's threshold encompasses all paths and practices,
Why overlook how each of them lead nowhere else?
All our efforts leave a path of stepping stones behind us,
As we prepare to be embraced by the mystery that sustains us.
