Our dreaming-self has no means of entry into heart's inner garden,
And so is fated to wander in the desert of an overheated mind.
There it creates and pursues one mirage after another,
Carbon-copies of its desires and designs.
Eventually this chase slows down on its own,
As realization born of disillusionment sets in.
What follows is a calming of mind and cultivation of heart,
As each mirage evaporates before awakening's sun.
