How can awakening be both conscious and unconscious? How can it be an underground urge, an underlying driver of consciousness, and still be called awakening?
Short response: isn't the flower in the seed?
This seed is outside ego-mind's jurisdiction (as is the flower), out of sight. It's a prime directive guiding consciousness through lifetimes. Our awareness of its designs isn't required though we're eventually led to conscious participation (see pt.2).
Everyone's involved in the awakening story, not just the seeking or spiritually aware.
The preparation of lifetimes flowers in glimpses of awakening's light. Then we are readied to become thoroughly drenched in the high tides of its ocean.
